Chairman FBR, IMF officials to be briefed on revenue targets, Secretary Finance Ministry economic situation
Karachi – Pakistan needs more loans, talks with the IMF began. According to details, talks have started between Pakistan and IMF. Chairman FBR, IMF officials will be briefed on revenue targets while Secretary Finance will brief on the economic situation. Negotiations have begun between Pakistan and the IMF for a 1 billion loan.
The online talks were attended by Secretary Finance, Chairman FBR, and officials of the International Monetary Fund. The talks will focus on the economic targets for the current financial year and the revolving credit of the energy sector. According to sources in the finance ministry, the talks will also review tax targets and economic growth, while the chairman FBR, IMF officials will be briefed on revenue targets while the secretary finance ministry will brief on the economic situation.
