SBI Online Banking, UPI Temporarily Unavailable
SBI Outage: The State Bank of India (SBI) has notified its customers that certain banking services will be temporarily unavailable on April 1, 2025, due to the bank’s Annual Closing activities. The announcement was made via an official post on X (formerly known as Twitter).
This scheduled downtime is essential for banks to finalize financial records, reconcile accounts, and ensure a seamless transition into the new financial year. Customers are advised to plan their transactions accordingly to avoid any inconvenience, the lender said in a post.
When Will Services Resume?
According to the SBI website, due to Annual Closing activity, Internet Banking, Retail, Merchant, Yono Lite, CINB, Yono Business Web & Mobile App, YONO, and UPI services will be unavailable from 13:00 IST to 16:00 IST on 1st April 2025. During this period, UPI Lite and ATM services will remain available.
During this maintenance window, SBI customers can still use:
UPI Lite for small transactions up to Rs 500 per transaction
ATM services for cash withdrawals and other basic banking needs

As part of the Annual Closing activity, several digital banking services will be temporarily unavailable for a few hours on April 1, 2025.

Corporate Internet Banking (CINB)
YONO Lite (Mobile Banking App)
YONO Business (Web & Mobile App)
YONO (SBI’s Digital Banking Platform)
Unified Payments Interface (UPI) Transactions
SBI customers are advised to use other bank accounts for smoother transactions. For small payments, UPI lite can be used without requiring a UPI PIN. Additionally, ATM-cum-debit cards can also be utilized for making payments.
